The MHS Student Council is selling Pink Out t-shirts. Order forms will be sent home tomorrow (Thursday) with all elementary students. Forms are available in the high school office for high school students.

Please return the form and money to Mrs. Bobo by Thursday, September 23rd.

Some of our Rattler Band Students traveled to the University of Central Arkansas on Saturday to get the college band experience! They worked with the UCA Bear Band along with students from 27 other high schools for a spectacular halftime performance!

FALL PICTURE DAY!

Fall pictures will be taken Tuesday, September 15th for all students in Pre-K through 11th grade.

Order forms were sent home today, so be sure to check your child’s backpack!

Next Week's 5th and 6th will wrap up 9/11 Presentations! Parents your child may bring home their Ipad's to complete their assignments. We will also begin review for a test in both 5th and 6th and will shoot for Thursday and Friday both groups!

Kindergarteners took their annual trip to the Pike County Fair today. They visited many animal exhibits and were even able to have hands-on interactions with some of them. The excitement began with a bus ride to the fair, driven by everyone's favorite bus driver, Ms. Paula. What a great day to be a kindergartener at MES!

Mrs. Simmons' class had a great time making aprons.

In a fascinating science experiment, our curious third graders delved into the world of magnetism to explore which everyday items were magnetic and which ones weren't. With magnets in hand, students demonstrated a thorough understanding of attracting and repelling forces, observing how magnets interacted with various objects and recording their findings with excitement and curiosity.

Coach Shanks's Physical Science class reviewed conversion factors and practiced dimensional analysis through an interactive board game! Who knew tracking units and canceling out terms could get this intense?

Students worked together to solve complex multi-step problems, catch calculation errors in real time, and build a rock-solid foundation for the rest of the year. #RattlersInSTEM

This week in class, 3rd graders are diving into the delightful story of 'Marisol McDonald Doesn't Match'! Our 3rd-grade students are having a blast making their own peanut butter and jelly burritos, just like our beloved story character Marisol. They're learning all about individuality and self-expression while getting creative with their own unique burrito-making skills. Who knew PB&J could be so much fun?
