Our first graders officially made history this week. They created the first ever batch of Rattler cookies in class! You can see the excitement on their faces as they took time to mix and prepare the delicious cookies. Afterwards our first grade teachers delivered the cookies to staff, teachers, coaches and players.

When life gives you lemons (storms/power outages) you make lemonade. Students in 1st and 2nd grade took the time in the dark this morning after the storms blew through to have Flash light Friday with their reading in class. Students at MES continue to excel through diversity.

Mrs. Wood is always looking for opportunities to showcase the talent that comes through her room. This year, Layken Stone, Hailey Sweney, Chloe Gold and Nicole Beaty created paintings and drawings with different techniques to be entered in the Pike County Fair. #GoRattlers

Better late than never! This month's MHS MVP is Mrs. Brittany Harris! Mrs. Harris came to us as a jack of all trades. Photoshopping, live-streaming, graphic designing, project printing, EAST facilitating, credit recovering, community partnering, website posting, photography teaching, Mrs. Harris, is a vital team player. She is always helping someone, student or teacher, with whatever they bring to her. Thank you, Mrs. Harris, for all that you do! #GoRattlers

What do jellybeans have to do with science??? Mrs. Cornish's 7th Grade Science students have been using scientific measurements and CER writing to figure out how many jellybeans are in a container. Be sure to ask your student about this sugary and informative assignment! #GoRattlers
