Elena and Autumn worked hard to achieve excellence on the interactive economics course called marketplaces where they learned all about the markets and investing using real-world scenarios!

🚑 Crash Test Challenge! Part ONE!
After wrapping up their Motion & Force unit, Mrs. Shanks’s Physical Science students put their engineering and design skills to the ultimate test! 🧠⚙️
Their mission? Design a safety system to protect a "patient" in the event of a crash. From creative cushioning to smart restraints, students applied physics principles to build and test real-world solutions.
Hands-on learning at its best — way to go, scientists-in-training! 👏🧪 #STEMinAction #FutureEngineers #PhysicsInTheClassroom #REALRattlers #SPCSD

📚✨ Real-World Learning in Action! ✨📚
Mrs. Fatheree’s 7th grade class took their math skills “Around Murfreesboro” this week! 🚶♂️🚶♀️✏️
Working in pairs, students tackled real-world problems at different locations around town — applying what they’ve learned in class to prepare for their upcoming test. From calculating percent change to simple interest, it was hands-on learning at its best!
Way to go, 7th graders — keep up the great work! 👏💡#GoRattlers

Mrs. Wood recently entered Hailey Sweney’s drawings in two separate competitions. The first competition was the Windgate Museum of Art at Hendrix college in the Imaginative Machines – K-12 Art Competition. World history students recreated historic artworks. This was a fun introduction activity that was later expanded upon in our first chapter with discussions on how art was changed from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and how those changes reflected the changes in society at the time.

World history student wrote haiku poems. Japanese samurai warriors lived very disciplined lives and often engaged in activities that required focus like poetry, flower arranging, and tea ceremonies.

Good luck to Alex Bonner who is competing in the 2A State Golf Tournament today. #GoRattlers

Psychology students made word clouds describing themselves before studying how our genetics, experiences, and choices all come together to create us all as unique individuals.

Geography student made travel posters for places they want to visit one day. This was an introduction activity before getting to study about these places later this year.
