SPCSD would like to update all of our parents and community. This morning we were able to determine the origin of the social media posts and are confident that there is no threat to MHS. We appreciate the assistance of our local law enforcement and our administrators for their quick response and following protocol to keep our students and staff safe. Thank you for your patience and support throughout this process.
SPCSD has been made aware of some troubling social media posts that have circulated this evening regarding Murfreesboro High School. We have alerted local law enforcement and they are assisting us with investigating this matter and will be present on campus in the morning. Be assured that we value the safety of our students and faculty and will take every precaution to ensure their safety.

Congratulations to Mrs. Wood’s art students for winning three first place ribbons and one reserve Grand Champion in the 2025 Pike County Fair and Rodeo Exhibit. The girls also received monetary prizes for their entries. Outstanding job, Hailey Sweney, Angeline Williams, Nicole Beaty and Chloe Gold!

Homecoming preparations are underway. Media II students, Bella Frazier and Elizabeth Mata, are seen here working on the programs! Thanks to Charleigh Wheeler and Ramsey Terrell for editing the photos.

Media class explored careers in Game Design. What better way to experience game design than to code animated games using Scratch.mit.edu

Today’s Capture the Flag battle was epic!
Our 7th graders showed off their speed and strategy. Flags were flying, alliances were tested, and there were more plot twists than a movie! 🎬⚡
Shoutout to both teams for bringing the energy and keeping the competition fun and fair. 🏅💪

Mrs. Shanks's Physical Science Class spent some time putting their conversion skills to use.
Students converted units of measurement from one system to another by using dimensional analysis. Then, they used their measurements to make their very own fudge!
Who knew science could be so SWEET! 🍫 🐍 #RattlerSTEM
