Mrs. Harris' Media Communications class was assigned a photography challenge where they had to capture an "in the moment" photo. While posed photos are great, we also like to capture everyday student life when they aren't looking. Alyssa Jones, a veteran EAST and Media Communications student, took this photo in the moment.

The first ever MHS Winter Formal last Saturday night was a success! This was a fundraising idea some of our 10th Grade class officers decided to try in order to start raising money for next year's prom expenses. We raised more money than expected with a total of $600! That's a pretty good start.
The Sophomore class and sponsors would like to thank all the parents and teachers that donated decorations, food, DJ skills, and maybe most valuable - their time, to make this event happen. We'd also like to thank the students that worked so hard selling tickets, decorating, and cleaning up.
It was a valuable learning experience for us all as we realized how much work is involved in such an endeavor, but it was agreed it was worth the effort. Students already have ideas for making it better next year.
